Short textured quiff
Short sides with a little volume pushed up at the front.
Norwood 1–2StraightWavyNot ideal for a thin crown
- Why it works with thinning hair
- Adds height and volume while you still have most of your hairline. Keep it short: a big quiff exposes receding temples.
- Best for these stages

What to tell your barber
Short textured quiff, please. Fade or taper on the sides, about 2 inches at the front getting shorter toward the crown, lots of texture.
How to style it
- Blow-dry the front up and slightly back for volume.
- Finish with matte clay, then break it up with your fingers.
- Products
- Matte clay · Texture powder for volume
- Upkeep
- Every 3–4 weeks
A good cut makes thinning less noticeable, but it does not stop it. For that, see finasteride vs minoxidil.
