French crop

Norwood 2–4StraightWavyHides a thin crown
- Why it works with thinning hair
- A straight fringe sits right over the hairline, so recession at the temples barely shows. It is one of the most common cuts for early thinning.
- Best for these stages

What to tell your barber
French crop, please. Skin or low fade on the sides, about an inch on top, and a short blunt fringe cut straight across just above the eyebrows. Light texture on top.
How to style it
- Dry the fringe forward with a hair dryer on low.
- A little matte paste to separate pieces. Avoid shiny products.

A good cut makes thinning less noticeable, but it does not stop it. For that, see finasteride vs minoxidil.
